TAROE Trust announces the appointment of new Trustees

TAROE Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of three new tenant trustees to its Board of Management. Our open recruitment campaign saw applications from excellent tenant candidates, and selecting three was difficult. Our new trustees are:

  • Monica Barnes MBE
  • Nigel Bowness
  • Steve Bladen

Full details of all our Trustees are available here TAROE Trust – Trustees

Commenting on the new appointments, Chair of TAROE Trust Michael Gelling OBE stated:

“The calibre of applicants was impressive, and our new tenant trustees have dedicated their time to campaign for housing and a diverse array of issues such as care, disability and health, issues that impact on tenants’ quality of life and experience of home. Complimenting their passion for housing and social justice is a diversity of experience, from Chairing boards and tutoring in social work to diligently building relationships and trust with tenants to contribute thoughtful feedback, analysis and ideas to help landlords focus on what matters to tenants. It is my pleasure to welcome Monica, Nigel and Steve as Trustees to TAROE Trust”.

TAROE Trust CEO Darren Hartley added, “The affordability and stability provided by a good quality and well-maintained regulated sector home has become more visible in recent times. Our new Trustees understand through their experiences of living in the sector and their work representing and advocating for tenants this value. They are well-located to ensure that as England’s independent charity for regulated sector tenants, tenants are at the heart of all that we do.”
