Are you a tenant living in the regulated housing sector?
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of tenants?
Do you want to influence national housing policy?
Why not become a Trustee of TAROE Trust?
TAROE Trust is a charity that works to promote the interests of tenants and residents living within the regulated housing sector. Following the Government’s publication of its Charter for Social Housing Residents in 2020, it is an exciting time for tenants and residents and our work is having a significant impact on this agenda.
The Board of Directors are also the Trustees of the charity, and to help us meet our ambitions we are looking to recruit additional Trustees who share our commitment for working for tenants and residents.
We wish to recruit an additional two tenants living within the social housing sector to our Board and would particularly welcome applications from people from diverse and/or under-represented groups.
We now operate a virtual office and most Board meetings are hosted virtually. Trustees would need to commit to attending four meetings per annum in addition to strategic planning events, AGM and on-going support for the Chief Executive.
TAROE Trust’s key priorities are set out in its Manifesto for Change. More information about the charity can be found on our website: www.taroetrust.org.uk.
We are inviting applications by covering letter (maximum 2 pages) or email setting out the following:
1) reasons why you wish to join our Board of Trustees
2) your suitability for the role, and what skills and experience you would bring
All applications should be sent via email to: info@taroetrust.org.uk
Deadline for applications: 5pm Monday 5 June 2023
Anticipated dates of interviews: 19 – 21 June 2023
To discuss the roles, please contact Darren Hartley, Chief Executive, by emailing your details to: info@taroetrust.org.uk
