TAROE Trust is a charity that works to promote the interests of tenants and residents living within the regulated housing sector. Following the Government’s publication of its Charter for Social Housing Residents in 2020, it is an exciting time for tenants and residents and our work is having a significant impact on this agenda.
The Board of Directors are also the Trustees of the charity, and to help us meet our ambitions we are looking to recruit additional Trustees who share our commitment for working for tenants and residents.
We are particularly keen to recruit tenants and residents living within the regulated housing sector and people from under-represented groups. We would also like to recruit a candidate that possesses the following skills or knowledge:
- charity fundraising
- experience of social media campaigning
We operate a virtual office, and most Board meetings are hosted virtually. Trustees would need to commit to attending four meetings per annum in addition to strategic planning events, AGM and on-going support for the Chief Executive.
TAROE Trust’s key priorities are set out in its Manifesto for Change. More information about the charity can be found on our website: www.taroetrust.org.uk.
To discuss the roles, please contact Darren Hartley, Chief Executive, by emailing your details to: info@taroetrust.org.uk
We are inviting applications by CV (maximum 2 pages) and covering letter (maximum 2 pages). All applications should explain your suitability for the role, the skills and experience you would bring, and your reasons for wanting to join our Board. Applications should be sent by e-mail to: info@taroetrust.org.uk with the subject marked “Trustee Application”.
Deadline for applications: 2nd December 2022
Anticipated dates of interviews: w/c 9th January 2023
