TAROE Trust contribution to Terms of Reference of Grenfell Inquiry

Residents, Landlords and Fire Services working together

The Government has asked for comments and recommendations for the Terms of Reference of the Public Inquiry into the Grenfell Tower Fire. TAROE Trust’s contribution has been as follows:

“TAROE TRUST would recommend that the Terms of Reference are extended to include an examination on how Landlords and local Fire Services could work with the residents of high rise buildings not just on fire protection in the home and public spaces, but also for local Fire Services to inform residents directly on how the Fire Service would fight a fire and also if necessary the Fire Service would evacuate residents from a high rise block.”

The question TAROE Trust would ask of the Public Inquiry:

“do Fire Services visit and in terms of the Grenfell Tower did they do this before the tragic fire?”
