TAROE Trust has been informed of a vacancy for Interim Chair of the Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE).
Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) Advert 2018 – 1 post – Closing Date 7th October at 11.00pm
Further details on the position can be accessed here.
LEASE is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), whose main purpose is to provide information and initial impartial advice to the public on problems or issues relating to leasehold housing and Park Homes in England and Wales. This is a front-line service in a housing sector where more than one person has a legal and financial interest in the property, and where there are a wide range of representative and other organisations holding differing views and perspectives. LEASE has also been given additional responsibilities to assist leaseholders affected by building and fire safety concerns. Following an internal review of advice and support to leaseholders, consideration is being given to the future form and function of LEASE. We are therefore seeking an interim Chair who can lead the organisation through a period of potential change.
At this stage, the MHCLG is seeking to appoint a Chair on an interim basis for between 12-18 months initially. This is because Ministers wish to give more thought to the future form and function of the delivery of advice and support to leaseholders. The interim Chair will play an important role in supporting the organisation to implement changes recommended by the review and agreed by Ministers while ensuring that the provision of advice and support to leaseholders is maintained.
